Set in the Namib Desert, Wrecked embraces a stylized, post-apocalyptic aesthetic. The photoreal, 2D matte painting gives the viewer a surreal mixture of uninhabitable danger and wonder, complemented by a commanding one point perspective composition that draws them down the rugged road. Created entirely in Photoshop, the piece explores atmospheric effects and texture application using a mixture of photos and digitally painted elements. Several layers of intricate textures are painted by a combination of custom brushes, blending modes and layer masks.​
